He retires for private prayer
1:35-37 Then, in the early morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house and went off to a deserted place, and there he prayed. Simon and his companions went in search of him, and when they found him, they said, "Everyone is looking for you."
1:38 "Then we will go somewhere else, to the neighbouring towns," he replied, "so that I may give my message there too - that is why I have come."
1:39 So he continued preaching in their synagogues and expelling evil spirits throughout the whole of Galilee.

Some of the locals want Jesus to set up a permanent base in their town; they can build bleachers and rent them out--and the fish & chips concession, wow! "Get your articles of clothing touched by the Master here, folks!"
Jesus does healing because of who he is, but that isn't his primary purpose.
We've talking about a king on the lam, here, and he has to keep one step ahead of the posse at all times. Too many people showing up and staying in one area: Here come the Romans!
What strikes my wife about all this: Jesus really needs to get away from people and meet with God alone from time to time. It isn't just a matter of being able to ask, "What should I do about the guy with the bunions?" Too much activity on the conventional level of human interaction saps his energy, distracts him from who he really is, just as it does to us.
